Edward Walker b abt 1790
I am trying to find an Edward Walker (occupation-White Smith) who was the father of a Robert Walker b1815 in Liverpool. I have found the banns for the right Robert Walker who married his second wife Ann Loveday 26 Sep 1864 and it lists his father Edward as working as a Smith. His first marriage certificate however lists his father as a White Smith.

No takers for this?

Struggling. There was an Edward Walker, joiner, perhaps not your Edward Walker. This Edward Walker was at 31 North Street, Dale Street in 1796 (Gores Directory) and at 9 Sawney Pope Street (Gore's 1821, 1827 and Baines' 1824).

Ok thanks Blue, I definitely have him listed as a White Smith on his sons marriage cert in 1838. I also know from his sons census records that he was born in Liverpool in abt 1815. Will keep trying to nail it over time!

I've tried all the usual techniques and places and still can't find a baptism. There doesn't appear to be an Edward Walker, smith or white smith, having children in Liverpool around that time. I couldn't find a marriage or death for the father.
