I am doing some cross referencing of mother's maiden names on the new GRO search. In my tree I have a Herbert Orrett, birth registered in 1884. He is in the 1891 and 1901 census. FMP has a copy of his registration page (8b 467 in Apr May Jun). I can't however find any trace of him on GRO putting in a different variation of the name, taking out christian name, mother's maiden name etc. No sign in freebmd either.
