Re: Little Crosby village
Was that the one where the young girl had recorded the MI's from the church, there was a lot of work gone into that, perhaps I have the church incorrect.
I will leave the link for now in case it comes live again but it may need removing eventually.
Anyway there's another site that might be useful for the additional information as well as the family research.

I notice that Derek Whale from the Liverpool Echo was acknowledged for his input, a very good journalist.

Re: Little Crosby village
I have copies in Word format of the BMD transcripts for the church in Little Crosby that were available on that website, in four files entitled,
LITTLE CROSBY - BAPTISMS 1801-1839
LITTLE CROSBY - BAPTISMS 1839-1856
LITTLE CROSBY - DEATHS 1812 – 1856
LITTLE CROSBY - MARRIAGES 1835-1856
Please let me know if they are any use to someone. (Perhaps they could be added to our website in some way?)

Absolutely! it would be such a pity if they were lost.Tex T wrote:Perhaps they could be added to our website in some way?
It would be great if you would contact our webmaster to make arrangements to forward them for inclusion, thinking about it, holidays still going on, would you care to forward them to me and I'll sort it out in a week or so.

Re: Little Crosby village
I have just sent the Word files to you by email. Regarding who should be credited as the source, I had a look for a copy of the Sunnyfields website on the "Internet Archive Wayback Machine" and found this,
Eileen Hunt of Ontario, Canada has kindly supplied information taken from Little Crosby church records of Baptism 1801 to 1856, Confirmations 1821 to 1831, Marriages 1835 to 1856 and Deaths 1812 to 1856. Many thanks to Eileen for all her hard work transcribing the information.
(Incidentally, I found that the links on the copy of this website still worked.)
I have also sent you, from the same website, another Word file entitled "Little Crosby deaths 1812-1856 comparison with St Helens Sefton". This information was credited on the website to, John Quirk has kindly supplied the following information from Sefton and Little Crosby church records.

Re: Little Crosby village
Thank you, somebody may know John Quirk as he's a known family historian. If we can get in touch with him we'll ask his permission.
