churches Allerton before 1820

Post by lynne99 »

Hi, still on my Bradshaw hunt and thanks for all the help given on my other post. The family search links by Blue were mega useful !!! thanks.
I have Esther Ellen or Hester Bradshaw born c 1819. Parents Edmund and his 2nd wife Alice (Jones)
I can find no reference to her baptism in Liverpool. Her parents were married in November 1812 at St Nicks Liverpool.
Using Gore's , he vanishes from the Liverpool registers about 1805 and reappears in 1818 at Mile end Liverpool.
I have Esther Ellens baptism as Allerton. But now I don't know how I found that. She is on 1841 census as born in county aged 22 at South Hill Toxteth Park (Dingle?)
In the 1851 she is aged 32 at 55 Ashton Street and born in Allerton.
Has anybody any ideas where she may have been baptised as All hallows wasn't built until 1870s. Allerton only had a very small population.

Her mother was called Alice Jones on marriage , but I don't know if this was her maiden name, or as she was a widow, he name after her 1st marriage.

Again any clues would be useful.
Thanks

Childwall Church once covered a large part of what is now south Liverpool.

Can't find any Childwall on line. OPC does not go as far as 1800 to 1820 and Ancestry does not appear to have any. Any ideas?
