Ancestry - has it changed or is it me?

Post by daggers »

From my laptop I have been able to open Ancestry (uk version) until the last day or two. I now get a strange opening page and find navigation very hard and much slower.
On my i-pad I can find the previous search pages without trouble.
Have I pressed something by mistake?
Any replies in easy English please!

Mine, Ancestry.co.uk hasn't changed or given any trouble.

The only thing I can suggest, (Laptop) log out and if you have your version in favourites or an icon on your desktop, delete, remove and go to google, find your version and sign in again, if it behaves, save to favourites or desktop.

No problem at home, but at the library on Tuesday we had so many problems it was unbelievable, don't know if this might have been general, but we couldn't even click the "Search" button at the top, didn't even get the drop down and had to go searching other pages for the Card Catalogue which I use a lot.

It seems okay to me today but recently I've been getting a page with a woman promoting their DNA service.

Thanks for comments. Replying late as my connection failed last night and I am catching up.
I’ll try again later when more awake!

Little time to test today, but I still have same problems, even after trying Bert’s log out and in.
Even when struggling through to a census image, for example, the set up is different from usual and has no control feature for up, down etc.

It was me! Technical son arrived and in seconds noticed that a zoom setting was far too high, so the proper view was obscured. Two flicks and bingo.
Lesson learned? Use smaller fingers or slow down.
