Hi

Gods knows i have paperwork all over the kitchen and ref books too.
Heath St ran accross Myrtle St now in 1841 Henry Bickerstaff was at Blucher St near by.. he marries Mary Jane McCamley st nics 1842..has Elizabeth b 1846, Henry b 1849 & Thomas b 1851..not sure what happened to them all.. wife Mary Jane dies June 1851..on the census they lived at Holden St the other end of Myrtle St... thats how he met..Margaret ..the son John Kent born 1854 i dont know if hes Henry's or not.. but possible.. but because they were not married hes not named Bickerstaff..

So at least we know Margaret's there in Liverpool in 1841..she could have had a daughter and because she had to work someone might be minding her in Cheshire.. its the name Margaret Ann.. her name and her mothers name.. that has me thinking shes hers........

Has Colette cracked the case? I'm beginning to think so, despite not having a birth/christening record.

Votes please?

I knew about that entry! In view of who was in the household in 1851, I'm wondering who was the father ..........

Margaret's father was Thomas mother Anne Meadows but maybe Fred was told his father was Thomas the blacksmith! or maybe he just invented it to look better or used Thomas (grandfather) who was dead as a name!!

Isn't family history great!

Kents

Post by colette »

Hi Simone

( QUOTE BY SIMONE....Sorry, confused According to CPR site, Hannah baptised 13/4/1845 is daughter of John and Jane living at Birkenhead. )

sorry you are right i had Hannah on the brain..Hannah is the wife of James Kent..John's brother so she would be his sister in law she dies the same time as his daughter IS BORN.. so they call her Hannah after her..

I saw Margaret in 1841 in Heath St..i also saw a Margaret Kent & daug Margaret aged 1 in Baptist St Lpool..these two are born Lancashire though.. i got excited as thought maybe your Maggie was born earlier than we thought.

But i think i will investigate these two 10 years on just to make extra sure..

Thinking Neston is pretty good for its old parish records.. so if Margaret Ann was Margaret's more than likely shes baptised in Liverpool ..prob i have is she woud be with Margaret in 1851 Neston and shes not :(

so its not looking too promising..BUT i still think Margaret Ann is connected to these Kents

I found John's son Thomas in 1861 in Moreton as for James and Hannah still cant find them two.

I'm killing myself laughing here!! You are going round in the same circles as I've done for years!

I'm sorry girls, I have no more clues for her, still awaiting the birth certificate for Margaret Hosker but despatch date isn't until next week - I'm beginning to wonder if I'll even remember why I ordered that particular one by the time it gets here since we've wandered so far away from there.

My Margaret seems to have claimed a couple of different mothers now - the parish priest was Fred's father and the gypsies were her godparents!!

Somebody once sent me a note of the only Lunt connected with Neston in 1841 as they thought it would be useful ...... don't even go down that line!!! we'd be more confused than ever if there was a link that far back!

Haaaaaaaa  hilary..ous   sorry hilary couldn't resist   killing myself laughing here, like Mary

Perhaps it's a psychic clue Hilary, perhaps Fred know where she is

Well girls I've been all over Neston, Ness, Great and Little, and I can't see her..have been looking at Mary's very suspiciously in case they are Marg's

I reckon we should have a party when she is found

Perhaps her mum didn't admit to her so she's not on census at all

Off to look for James and Hannah now Col has put me right

Nice to wake to a smile :D :D

Hi Hilary :D

I'm the same, I've noticed a couple of Haswell's whilst searching for Margaret Anne, and so nearly ended up searching for Carol's family again
Get exited when I spot something and then realise I'm with the wrong family :?
