Irish Civil Registration

Hi peeps

happy new yr to all that I know, I use Familysearch as all my roots come from Ireland can anyone put me right on the GRO index that comes up with familysearch is it the same Index that the GRO Ireland use to order birth certificates???????? maybe D/S might help me out

I usually include the volume and page number but not any film numbers as they might only relate to LDS records. There isn't a space for the index information on the application form but I always add it to the form. Put as much information that you have to help the Irish GRO find the right record is the best thing to do when applying for Irish certificates. Remember to tick the photocopy option to get the cheaper version of the record.
