Fred Taylorc1888 who are your parents?

I have a great deal of info on this family I dont want to waste members time with the rest of the family...I am only looking to find out who Fred's mother and father are.

On the 1891 census Huddersfield
Selina Taylor w 50
Harry Taylor s 22
John Taylor s 18
Charles Taylor s 16 ((this is my grandfather))
Fred 3 grandson

1901 Almondbury
John Taylor 28
Ellen Taylor 29
Florence Taylor 3
Fred Taylor 13 nephew

1911 Almondbury

Fred is still living with John age 23 and still his nephew.

I have found a marriage for Fred to Florence Blakey in 1915 and he says his father is John the address is the same as the address in 1911 so it must be the right Fred.

If John is in fact Fred's father he must have only been about 15 at the time?? and who was his mother??

There are 4 births for Fred Taylor in Huddersfield on fbmd so which to choose.
I have looked at familysearch for a baptism with no luck..

I imagine he just said John for the father as that was who he was living with just for respectability. Did John have any sisters? Maybe one of them had John illegitimately.

Where are the family in 1881? I was looking for them to see if there were any daughters.

Hi Hilary... in 1881 its a little complicated as they are living Toxteth liverpool and mother Selina is not with them. There is 1 daughter Emma born Liverpool 1870 she married William Jackson in 1890 in Almondbury.
I should say the family moved back to Almondbury I think sometime after their father Fred died c1884.

If I could just find a baptism it would save me having to go down buying the birth cert route

Ancestry has Almondbury St Paul's baptism register available for you to browse through. You could go through that for 1887 and 1888 at your leisure to see if you can find Fred.

Hi Ann.... what a tricky one providing his age is definitely right in 1891, using Tom Nunamaker puts his birth between 6/4/1887 and 5/4/1888,

Do you know what became of Fred? There are a couple of Fred Taylors born Huddersfield, listed in Soldiers who died in Great War on Ancestry, both died 1917.

Was hoping for a service record for your Fred if he served but can't see one

Simone thank you for your input..The only details I have for Fred are the 1891/1901/1911 and of course his marriage details. I have taken a look at the military side of things but have yet to find anything...His address in 1901/1911 is 120 Lowerhouses Almondbury..this is also the address on his marriage cert.((got this from Anc before my subs ran out))
