Also we don't know what happened to Harry Coventry do we? There is a Harry Coventry on Philadelphia Passenger Lists, with a John Coventry... his dad was John.

Can anyone have a look

later no forget it, he's still with his dad isn't he in 1911 in Neston,
RG14; Piece: 21910
John Coventry 52 slater and Plasterer
Darah Coventry 48
Harry Coventry 22 son, married
Annie Coventry 20, daughter, married
John Coventry 15
Arthur Coventry 13
Path Coventry 8
Hildia Coventry 5
Evia Coventry 2

can't remember.. did we ever establish whether this Annie is Harry's wife?

A search for Biggs' living in Brant only gives 2 families: Robert & Annie and Frederick & Ida. Children of Robert and Annie are: Hilda (b1905, England), Florence (b1908), Norman (b1909).

FamilySearch gives another child for Robert & Annie (nee Sturch) - Lloyd Henry b 1911 in Brant.

FreeBMD has a marriage for Robert Henry Biggs and Annie Rose Sturch in Woolwich in Q4 1903....and a birth for Hilda Rose Biggs, Woolwich Q4 1904.

So doesn't look like this is our Hilda :(

I have a connection to the Coventry family, Evia which is actually Ivy was my auntie, married to my mums brother James. I haven't done a lot on her siblings, the little time I have spent on them I always suspected Annie was Harry's wife, The parents had 7 children in that marriage and 1 child died, if you count the children on the 1911 census there are 7 recorded as sons or daughters, that's the reason I think Annie is Harry's wife, not sure though till I bother to look into the family further.

Thanks Alison :D

John and Sarah state on census that they have had 7 children, 6 living, 1 died, so there is an extra one on census with them, so I think Annie must be Harry's wife. Could Annie be a their pet name for Norah? If so, we have 2 Norah's? one with the Coventry's and one as Davies....

Hi Folks

try as I might i cant find marriage certificate for John William Davies and Norah Prendergast. Also when John died the police went to his mothers to break the news, and in the letter at the back of his army docs, she is his next of kin and she doesnt mention his wife or children to the officer
Tales I grew up with about all the girls living with John's mother have been confirmed at least with Jessie who was married from her grandmothers house and signed her death certificate as Jessie Wooding, daughter, which she wasnt. I have all the birth, marriage and death certificates. And Nan alway said she was named after her mother Sara........not true!!

Albert died 1906, have his death certificate. Cant find a Norah and Hilda on the 1911 census. Norah married Harry Coventry 8 march 2011, in St Peters Liverpool Her age was 32 and a widow, he was 24 and a bachelor. They both gave the address was Cambridge Street

have just noticed on the 1911 census he has age as 22.............and the Annie on there is 20, so it cant be Norah

I am going to get myself barred from this site

Sue, I thought you had found the wayward Norah with a daughter in 1910+1..
at 88 Solway St, Liverpool?
DAVIES, Norah - 1880 - Liverpool, and DAVIES, Norah - dtr - 1904 - Liverpool
And the child Norah was born the year after Hilda, one of these two?
Births Jun 1904:
Davies, Norah - W. Derby - 8b - 619
Davies, Norah May - W. Derby - 8b - 328.

John and Norahs children

Jessie May 1901-1972
Jane Helen 1903-1904
Norah 1904-1969
Sara 1908-1989

Cant find the last one...............on the census she states she had 5 children 2 died

Thats why I relised that my Norah cant be the one who married Albert Biggs, she was living in Cheshire somewhere have Hilda Biggs 1903 - she lived to marry and have children called Mowatt :(

Hi Simone, yep youre right :(

Well I got 4 mainly because I knew my nans sisters Jessie and Norah. For what ever reason Jessie was baptised as West (i think it was suggested on here maybe a stage name, one of John's trades was proffessional singer although he had many gymnast on his army records :) ) Why she went to live with his mother is something I will never know for sure..........or why nan and Norah never acknowledge Norah as their mother :(

Jane Helen has also a paper trail, John and Norahs names and address are on her baptism, birth and death certificates, and the same address at Walton cemetry

The last little mite, well who knows

So out with Biggs and Coventry... now what :?

Simone

Looked at this, what struck me is no date of birth either, why would they do this?
Maybe unwed mother/couple how cruel!

Thanks for looking.

I am still putting the information you gave me on the other tree, the father I have put for Honora/Norah doesnt quite fit......but I cant see why yet, I think I have picked up the wrong one. To tired tonight for a late one. Will sort it tomorrow. What I did find was another Honora Joyce with a week old baby in the workhouse.
What I will do tomorrow is try and bring them up to 1901/1911 and if I get any connections to the wayward Honora!!

What I do need to do is find someone for the Birth, Marriage and Death certificates I have, and maybe they would like the information I have about Norah/Biggs/Coventry.........cant bring myself to press the delete button yet........I have become quite fond of them :(

Hi Sue, Simone,

You may have to revisit Harry Coventry, my initial suspicions he may have been married to Annie, 1911 census, appear to be wrong. Now I have looked into it further, without ordering a marriage cert, which I'm not going to, it looks like Annie married Edward Meadows, 14 Nov, 1910, banns read at Neston and married at St Mary's Liscard. Have not found a marriage for Harry, sooooooooooo I may have to look at the one found in Liverpool.
