Happy New Years for Twenty Fifteen team - well I figure by the time you read this it has past for you; for me it past right in the middle of the great flow of information around ten hours ago. Thank you very much for what has been unearthed thus far.
I was going to put some images in here detailing what information I did have but have not been able to locate the "add file" icon as yet.

Addresses at baptisms,

Mabel, 1889, Admiral St, Liverpool.
May, 1891, Beresford Rd,
Ethel, 1896, Beresford Rd
Albert, 1897, Greig St
Benjamin, 1899, Greig St.
With regard to the streets mentioned above, do the records mention actual numbers?

Reason I ask is that there is another infant death listed at 136 Admiral St (Charles William GEE buried 03May1888 at Toxteth Park) and it could tie in with the family there at the time.
And somewhere I have seen 136 Admiral before and have turned my notes inside out and cannot find the reference to it though....
Thanks,

Hi Pete,
Mabel, 136 Admiral St.

Do you know where Albert enlisted in the RN?

Ok well then if Mabel who I thought was the oldest b.10Apr1889 is apparently not. I found on the Toxteth Park Cemetary website that there was a Charles William Gee from 136 Admiral St who was buried the year before on 03May1888 as an infant of one month - so maybe another sibling of Albert?
Looked at Alberts service docs and he joined HMS Impregnable for the period 11Feb-12May 1915; which is the "boys" training ship for the RN - well it was at that period in time.

The reason I ask about Albert's enlistment.

In 1914 a May Gee married David H Morris, West Derby, 8b 808,

Birth, Georgina May Morris, mothers maiden name, Gee, 1915, Devonport, Devon, 5b, 540.

David H Morris was a shipwright, a trade were you would certainly need to be close to ships and Devonport would be that place.
Theory, did May have her younger brother Albert under her wing and Albert decided to enlist in Devonport?

Any mention of Morris in Albert's RN file?

Well that certainly opens up a new line of thought..... from what I know although it has not been confirmed yet, there was mention of Albert being at the orphanage is similar institution (maybe Church Road, Wavertree, Liverpool) for a period but I do not have the associated timeframe.
The fact that May (four years older) was looking after Albert does make sense because Albert’s father was buried 30May1908 which might be why he went to an “orphanage” for a period and then at some stage May stepped up and took charge of Albert.

There is no mention of Morris on Albert’s file. But it also explains why on Albert’s memorial certification that it mentions Albert as being the son of Benjamin and May – May was listed in error because she was listed on his Naval service documents as the “Next of Kin”.

As to Georgina May Morris; was this the only child you found? It had been mentioned that there were two children between May and David.
And I have been told that May died at the Broadgreen Sanatorium (Liverpool) of Pulmonary TB on 16Mar1934.

I don't know if May had other children, I just looked for a marriage, having found a marriage I looked for children, expecting to find Liverpool births, there were none. Georgina's second name May and being born in Devonport, that and Albert's connection with the RN, I thought worth a mention.

This may well be the Bluecoat School which moved in the early 1900's from Bluecoat Chambers in the centre of town to Church Road, Wavertree. The Records are held at the Liverpool Record Office.

Can someone please give me a sanity check... Ive been all through Liverpool on Gooogle and I cannot find a Paulton Street; all I see now is a Poulton Close yet I see Paulton referred to in two separate threads!
Is it possible that somewhere back in time, the local council changed the spelling from Paulton to Poulton and Street to Close?

The area has changed enormously over the past 100 years, Paulton Close is near to where the street would have been https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Lav ... f530d86d7b
