Death - Stephen Kemp
Death - Stephen Kemp
I am searching for a missing death/burial record for Stephen Kemp born Woodnesborough, Kent 1808 -1812. The last information I have for him is on the 1851 Liverpool census (Paul Street)living with his wife Rose Anne and 4 children . His occupation was a mariner, and up till now I cannot find any deaths at sea records for him. My 3x great grandfather seems to have completely disappeared. Any help with finding his death records would be very helpful.

Are these two people the same or are you referring to one of the children in the second comment? Just checking.Rosezi wrote:My 3x great grandfather seems to have completely disappeared.
The 1851 census gives Stephen's occupation as "Mariner stays at home" so I think it unlikely that he would be in the Deaths at Sea register.
Have you found Rose Anne and any of the other children in the 1861 census and did they stay in Liverpool?
Where did the children marry and what religion were they? Is the Stephen who married Margaret Cornwall in 1863 your family? have you got their marriage certificate and what information does it give about his father?
Where have you checked for a burial? have you checked all of the links in this list http://forum.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk ... =14&t=5739 particularly perhaps the many pages in the Old Mersey Times site.
