I have traced the family of Wm. Clayton, Alderman & Mayor of Liverpool (d. 1715) & his son-in-law, George Tyrer, Liverpool Mayor (d. 1740) through Tyrer's daughter Hannah Tyrer. She married William Eccleston in 1743 and their son was Capt. Clayton Eccleston!
Does anyone have any further information on this Eccleston family? I believe Clayton Eccleston had a brother who died in infancy named George Tyrer Eccleston! Thanks so much... Jay at (highlanderglory [at] gmail.com)
