You could well be right with that, it happens a lot in the Liverpool RO.

PDF showing ALL COI Irish BMD records and where they are
filed.
Many records destroyed in fire of 1922 but many were not. This PDF list shows you where existing are held and the years that they have.
Here is the link for transcriptions that have been done and are online--there is other info on this site too so check it out
http://ireland.anglican.org/about/168
HERE IS THE LINK FOR ALL OF IRELAND (COI ONLY) --BUT they are organized by Parish name not by County which makes searching them a bit difficult.
http://ireland.anglican.org/cmsfiles/pd ... arregs.pdf
While a CTRL + F search will highlight for you the highlight is a light gray that is difficult to see
I DO hope this helps folks---nothing worse than spending years searching for something that does not exist
Hope this works, shared from another Group

VERY interesting; thanks Mary! I'm sure many, like me, assume that since all the census records were lost then all the COI were lost as well. We have a COI branch but I just assumed that there would be no church records. Now there is the prospect of finding the COI history, but more... didn't Roman Catholics register with the COI before they were allowed to keep their own registers (locally about 1830)?

The Irish Times website has a very useful section showing parishes by county:

I think we are very lucky that more records turn up slowly, the maps will be extremely useful for those of us who are not very knowledgeable about geography!! Just an example was one gentleman who called at our Help Desk and told me he knew the county where his family came from, I thought that was good going until I discovered he didn't have a clue where it was, in the north or the south, and we had to begin by checking googlemaps to find it.

Irish Ordnance Survey 19th century maps digitised
A collection of maps of almost 150 cities, towns and villages in the Republic of Ireland are now online and available to view for free. Most are town plans which were surveyed at either 5 or 10 foot to one mile scale between 1837 and 1896.

FamilySearch - new Irish dataset
FamilySearch has added new indexed records and images to its Ireland Valuation Office Books 1831-1856 dataset. Nearly 1.8 million indexed records were added in December, along with over 183,000 digitised images.

These records are the original notebooks used when property valuations were conducted by the Office of the General Valuation of Ireland.

Often asked whether there are records of Irish travelling to Liverpool, well this is actually a database of some emigrants from Wexford to America that might help

For burials in Ireland - this is an extremely well populated site that is still being updated on a regular basis. Don't just look at the links to the Cemeteries, don't forget the Headstones too.

http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/#gsc.tab=0

and thanks to Luxor who discovered this search for Burials in Belfast
https://ssl.belfastcity.gov.uk/burialse ... earch.aspx

and also a plan of Dundonald cemetery.
