This matter was brought before the Committee for a decision.
The Forum is funded by the Society for the benefit of it's members.
Our Forum, unlike others, is run without annoying advertisements on the pages.
We believe that the Forum is a benefit of Society Membership which, together with the other benefits provides good value for money.
Please ensure you display your Membership Number in your profile.A period of six months will be allowed for new Forum Members to join the Society https://www.liverpool-genealogy.org.uk/membership.php before access is restricted.
For those Forum Members who joined more than six months ago and who have not yet joined the Society, there is now a period of one month's grace before access is restricted.
Please check that you have renewed your membership for this year.
These forum members will now be finding that their access to the forum is restricted. If you feel that this has occurred to you incorrectly - ie you DO have a Society Membership, then please email forum-admin [at] liverpool-genealogy.org.uk and advise your membership number and either address/email address so that this mistake can be rectified.
If you decide to rejoin the Society, please be aware that your login to the forum doesn't happen automatically. Please copy me in with your receipt and this will save the wait while the Treasurer notifies me.
I would advise that it is not allowed to solicit assistance from our Forum and Society Members for monetary gain ie if you are undertaking research for others with the likelihood of payment, then do your own work. If it is found that you have charged a client for results that have had assistance from our forum, then you will be barred from the Forum and your Society Membership referred to the Committee for a decision.
